I'm also having the same issue. I can't update my drivers because Geforce Experience is stuck on "retrying" to download the driver. Had the same issue, find the drivers on the nvidia website and download form there. Personally I had this issue way back a few times, since then I always uninstall my drivers manual, let windows install whatever driver it needs after restart, and then download it from the website.
